The main difference between reconstructive and cosmetic surgery is that the former is done to improve or restore function, even if it can enhance your appearance. Cosmetic surgery, on the other hand, is only done to enhance and improve an otherwise
fully-functional feature for the sake of aesthetics. Cosmetic options are extensive and ever improving.

Aside from the obvious benefit of enhancing your appearance, often times the benefit of plastic surgery is psychological. Naturally, going under the knife comes with some risk. We often see botched plastic surgery shows, and unfortunately, these shows are not far-fetched or fictional.
