There can be minor complications that are more common such as numbness of the nipple which can last up to six months. Another minor risk is swelling from the surgery can last for a couple of weeks. To manage the pain following the surgery, it is recommended that you take pain killers, but make sure this has been confirmed with your surgeon, before you take any.

Rarer complications may include ruptures or scar tissue that can result in deformation of the breasts. If you experience any of these extreme yet rare complications, you are advised to seek further medical treatment as soon as possible.
